safe in Thailand

Thanks for all those who emailed me about the cyclone in Bangladesh, and appologies for not returning your emails sooner. Luckily, I have been traveling in Thailand for the past week and am currently safely still in Thailand. I have not been able to reach my colleagues in Dhaka, which I’m assuming is due to electricity outages, etc. I am originally flying back to Dhaka in the morning, but given the situation, I may hold out for a few more days here until I’m more comfortable with the conditions back in Bangladesh before I hop onto a flight. Will provide another update once I’m back.

P.S. - On a more positive note, I got my official scuba diving certification!

  1. I am glad you are OK! I was just reading an article that said the weather was OK in Dhaka but they had no power and might not for a few weeks = I hope Thailand was good (I bet it was amazing), and that’s cool that you got your scuba certification. I didn’t even know you were training for one!

Do you have a phone # I can call when I am worried about you? Just email it to me if you do =)

  2. Hey Jeni - good to hear you’re safe in Thailand and got your diving certification! I’ve been back from my ADP experience for almost 3 months now, when will you be going back home?

  3. Hey Jeni. I tried to message you back on facebook, but it didn’t seem to work. I hope life is going well :) I saw the Thailand photos and loved them. I was there too this summer, but I stayed in Bangkok the whole time.

Ok so let’s see. This lady is class of 2002. Has a BA in Business Administration. Hometown is Dhaka. Was a “Trade Finance Manager” at a Manufacturing firm prior to CBS. Favorite book is Gone With The Wind and favorite movie is My Best Friend’s Wedding. Her favorite activity is reading. :) I also found a bunch of stuff about her online when I googled her. I don’t know how to access more detailed alumni records at the moment, so I can’t tell her what she’s up to now. If I figure out how to access the alumni directory I’ll let you know.

    Good luck!
